Uh, math is retardedly easy through calculus.

Sigh.

Edit: Slightly misread the context: yes, something like nuclear engineering is applicable to a lot more than just making nukes or nuclear power plants.

It would also be relevant for agencies that regulate nuclear power (Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency), agencies that deal with other nations that do nuclear power (Department of State), agencies that invest into 3rd world countries that may relate to nuclear power (United States Agency for International Development), private contractor firms that support all of the above. All of those are aside from things like military.

There's probably also groups that advise the UN, although I would imagine those would be pulled from DOE and such.

Then there's the academic world with more pure research and stuff.

^ we also have a lot to do with plasma, medical procedures, industrial imaging - pretty much anything related to radiation or matter with weird properties like plasma.

The real world is going to smack you with reality so hard :S... I die of laughter when people expect to make 6 figures out of the gate when there are 100 000 people with the same qualifications. Without that P Eng title, don't expect much and you can not get your P Eng with school alone.

Job placement %, Job placement %, Job placement%.

Example: All those people taking kinesiology that were all destined to go into the medical field and earn +200k a year starting now are personal trainers at gyms earning a grand total of $15 an hour.

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I don't know what's funnier, that you are now an "engineer" that has no idea what he is talking about or that you "are a lawyer". You can't sign shit without that title. You have no stamp.

I don't need a stamp to do my work, but I regularly sign official documents.

Fact: I majored in engineering.
Fact: I graduated from law school.

If you want to contest either of these facts I will gladly provide indisputable records to shut your ignorant dust trap.

>3 years into my degree, thanks for explaining how Peng works. Because universities don't explain that stuff already.

>Most coop mining/petroleum/chemical engineers make 80k out of the gate, and usually have jobs lined up right away because of connections built through coop.

>Long story short, attending one of UofA's highly funded coop programs allows you to become hired extremely easily, so long as your engineering sect has relevance in the oil industry.

But what do I know, we're only forced to take 3 non credit classes which outline contemporary job placement rates.
