Move between auto attacks. Get ahead of them if you're chasing, especially as a melee character . If you are kiting, move towards a safer area. This is easiest when you have a permaslow (Ashe, Skarner, etc.).

72: If Direct combat doesnt work, try Indirect combat. This means if you cannot win a teamfight no matter how you try, stop teamfighting. Get some wards, ward escape routes, and take a friend or 2[never more] and start taking out turrets[no im NOT saying push a lane, im saying sneak up to them and pound away]. Chances are you can break out/ take most of its hp and still get out IF you ward properly. No point trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. In such a situation, go for a different peg. Or lure them into ambushes. Take wards[both regular and pink, counter ambushes are baa-a-a-a-a-d] and lure them into the brush 1 or 2 or even 3 at a time[more then that, just bail]. Indirect combat takes coordination but can easily win games.

One of the most important things is knowing that it will take a long time to get really good. It doesn't happen in a matter of months, it will take slow, gradual progress to get to the point where you recognize the fuzzy patterns that are other players behavoirs, the dangerous spots on the map where you always get killed, how far away you need to be to be safe etc.

Warding is a TEAM EFFORT. Not the support's frail efforts.
