DOTA trademark? Riot/Valve

So with the announcement of "dota 2" does this mean Riot lost the counter file for it? Just wondering. I haven't seen any new news about this in awhile.

I guess it would go down to semantics...is "Dota 2" the same as "DotA"?

Didn't Pendragon/Guinsoo file for "defense of the ancients"?

Who says Valve's Dota is an acronym...it could just be a word "Dota"

DOTA 2 could be trademarked/copyrighted seperately from DotA.

I highly doubt DotA would be upheld as copyrightable. Especially with it being a project worked on by numerous people.
