Kirei let out a deep sigh "Fine then, we wait..." She looked toward Attwell, "you could at least get us out of the sun..."

Attwell looked around, very few buildings still stood, and none of what was around them provided significant shade. Any that did were fairly far off. "I don't think I can carry you to any shady spots." He looked at Nikoli, "It's probably best if you get out of the sun as well, do you think you could carry her? I'm staying here until the portal closes."

Nikoli stood up silently, moving over and picking up Kirei and somewhat throwing her onto his back, holding his hands behind himself for her to sit on. He made sure to do so somewhat roughly - not enough to look like her was hurting her, but enough so that she would understand his annoyance with her. After that, he turned into the direction of the far off buildings and began walking.

Kirei grunted "Hey, I know I'm numb but that's no reason to treat me like a rag doll."

Nikoli shrugged.

"I'm the one doing you a favor, you're not the only tired one here. I'm not going to blow all the energy I have left to give you a little extra comfort."

Kirei pouted "Yeah yeah, whatever, just remember that as soon as I can use magic again I can just teleport us all back."

Nikoli sighed.

"Yeah, but for now, I'm the one stuck carrying you, so it doesn't matter. Honestly, what did I do to have to go through all this ****..."

Kirei grinned "Well our first mistake was following Attwell." She then over dramatically gasps "Oh poor Zenia, she must be so lonely without her daddy there."

Nikoli "tripped" after Kirei said that, almost falling over and roughly shaking Kirei as he did so. Re-gaining his balance, he pushed her up his back quickly, making sure to shake her up a bit more while appearing to be simply adjusting her position.

"Sorry, I hit a rock there. I told her I was leaving, she's a capable girl. She can handle herself, unlike some women I know."

Kirei didn't make a noise as she hit the floor, her body still numb so she didn't really feel a thing. "Ah no problem, things happen." she grins "She can handle herself, that's good, however she's still probably missing you."
