Banned in bots?

i was not aware that you could be banned for bot games so quickly. I am level ten and have been trying to level up quickly so i can gift my friend battle cast prime chogath. i kind of thought the point of bot games was so that you could practice and play games that you werent sure you could finish. But today i learned otherwise when an outage in the internet at my house cut a game short- Can someone please explain how the leave ban system works so i can aviod losing precious time?

You get one leave at a lower level that serves as a warning. As you level up that number goes up.

Play custom games with ONLY bots. As long as there are real people, leaving the game will waste their time and make it less fun for them, and as such it is punishable.

Also, I don't know what you meant by "...level up quickly so i can gift my friend battle cast prime chogath." But I do believe that that particular item is a skin and skins can not be bought with Influence Points (IP, or the in game currency) but instead need to be bought with Riot Points (RP, Or real money put into the game. Don't mean to be a party pooper but that's how skins work.

P.S. In the future, make sure you can plan your time accordingly because the Leaver Buster doesn't have feelings towards "Dinner, Family time, Chores" Or anything of that liking. This time it obviously wasn't your fault. But just in case so it doesn't happen again in the future. See you in League!

Thanks for the advice, i plan to play all bot customs in times like this from now on! I was planning to give him the skin for christmas. I had thought about burning some RP on xp boosts but now it looks like i have to . (oh and you have to be level 20 to gift people things)

Personally I would never report anyone for leaving a bot game, but to each their own. They must have been frustrated from losing.

Being banned for leaving games has nothing to do with reports. It's via LeaverBuster, check the second post in this thread (the link to LoLWiki).
