It makes no sense for Varus to be his old self "Arclight" and his Corrupted self at the same time, nor does it make sense for Kassadin to be using void attacks as his pre-void self.

That's what these skins are for, not meant to be realistic.

The reason they are so different is for character contrast. If they are both becoming their counterpart then it would be silly. Caitlyn's accent with a punk skin like that would be awful, unless they do a legendary where they change her voice and accent slightly. . .

But when you take complete opposite things and try to make them work, you need some sort of compromise to make it look like they have a sort of connection.
These champs are suppose to be a team in Piltover for a while, after a point in time you start to develop some of the qualities of the people you're with, right?

Honestly, it seems to me like they wanted to make a Punk rockish girl champion, decided that they need to make someone from Piltover, and had them shooshed together as partners. These are people with 2 different personalities and backgrounds, but they really have no chemistry together, let alone be able to tolerate eachother and work together unless Cait has a bit of a grungy side, or Vi really is a tea-sipping lady.

Imo all of caitlyn's skins are boring including her default, punk caitlyn would be awesome, even if they gave her a truly obnoxious sloppy british accent.
