Unique Active: Drop a destructible rift-breaker that lasts for 10 seconds. Enemies that attempt to blink (Not dash, blink), within 700 units are instead teleported to the riftbreaker, and the riftbreaker is destroyed. 60s CD, has the health of a ward.

Does anyone else feel like the attack speed on the original made the item for ranged dps? Why can't we just add some critical strike to the current version and give it the unique sweeper active?

Lantern I feel is an item that better suits bruisers who do not itemize for attack speed. The people I would buy lightbringer on however were ranged dps champions.

If the active is named then it is unique and will not stack with lantern or sweeper actives.


I would imagine it something like this:
+50% Attack Speed
+20 Attack Damage
+20% Critical Strike Chance
Unique Active [Stealth Detect]: A stealth-detecting mist grants vision in the target area for 10 seconds (60 second cooldown).

Recipe:
Recurve Bow + Long Sword + Cloak of Agility

I'd be in favor of having it build from Recurve Bow+Lantern, mainly for the reasons people have described regarding the ability of AD carries to use it over bruisers.

Shouldn't every class be able to use the only reveal items? Why should it be restricted to AD carries? AD casters and bruisers alike can make use of reveal and distribute responsibility amongst the team. AD makes it ubiquitous so any AD champion on the team can grab it. AS or Crit restricts it to one class alone.

Besides, I don't think bruisers are exactly jumping up and down to dump gold on 20 armor, 50 AD, and 12% lifesteal unless they really need the reveal. There are bigger defensive/offensive hybrid items that offer HP and/or larger quantities of armor/mr.

You know, you could always have light-bringer track champs hit, but not reveal stealth champs al la kogmaw's ult.

But let's be honest, lightbringer only hard countered two heroes that relied on mid-combat stealth: Akali and Vayne. Maybe Shaco.
