Hi, my name is Mitchel, otherwise known as Dropbear. I currently run TheMists.org, a website dedicated to eSports and competitive gaming. I am now proud to announce that we are now opening new competitions for LoL and later on Dota 2! The format is like thus: each 7-10 days, teams will face off in a best-of-three match. Winning makes you go up a rank, losing makes you go down a rank. The top ranked of each round is declared Legend of the Mists. It’s like a King of the Hill format you used in Table Tennis at school.

I'm currently looking for input on what you guys want in a competition, and the first ruleset of King of the Mists is up for review! Any feedback would be appreciated, and we will start opening up for teams in the new year!

Is this for a new clan? What are your goals?

It's for a weekly tournament. The Mists is clan-neutral to promote fairness.

Our goal is to help low and mid level teams break out and practice against clans they might not have played before. A lot of tournaments in LoL now are requiring a certain amount of ELO, yet disregard the fact that we were all once trying to play the game and to learn. The aim of The Mists is to have like-leveled teams fight and learn from one another in order to slowly improve, as well as give a formal structure to how a tournament would normally go. Eventually, we hope to become a showcase for the best up-and-coming teams around the world.

So it's basically a team vs matchmaking site? hehe I guess that's a decent idea to keep teams from losing elo when trying to practice against other teams.
