Actually, I finished reading this, and most of the anti patterns are just based on "we don't want to offend the ignorant player". The good points have to do with anti-fun. The rest while they can be frustrating, you can also just educate and open up more options in the game, rather than making a game geared only for bad players. What if in baseball some noobs didn't know sacrafice bunting could ever be a good idea? Do you make it so that all base runners get an extra base on top of what they earn on the play? No, we take it out of the game. Wait, what? Why not just educate on when its good or bad?
