I would like to share my own personal experiences today, because of the events that occurred today. Of course some may disagree about this for whatever reason, but let me just tell the story today. I played a normal queue with a friend and midded against a 1600 elo (I am 980). I beat him in lane, but we lost because my team fed. This guy did better than me in the end because he got those noob kills, and he wanted to 1v1 me. I 1v1ed him in Draft, and Blind Pick, and I wrecked him both times, so I don't think It's a coincidence. That's when I noticed his elo.
Now I came across this seeing if there's somewhere to express my hatred. Elo is a number, an inaccurate number that is sometimes correct, but mostly not. Elo is NOT based on true skill for the most part, because your team could be terrible and you lose every game, or your team carries you to 1400 elo. That's my story and opinion, whether you hate it or love it. Riot please, just try something different.
