Hi Dominion players. My name is SulfuricAcid ( summoner name change ). A short story about myself is I recently went back to playing against people for the first time in maybe a year. I hated playing with people because of all the yelling and raging and leavers so I was always playing Bot games. I also hated that you couldnt play a champion you wanted because of the meta.

I came back to playing with people right when the legacy skins became available and I HAD to get the unmasked Kayle because Kayle is my favourite champion. I decided to play in Dominion because of the mana regen allowed me to play Kayle as a carry without getting mana regen items more easily and you can play anyone really.

So about a week of games of playing as Kayle with maybe 60% win rate this just happened. I was queued with ( in all honesty ), an awful team. Not just bad players. Awful players. Im only going to say this once because it will never happen again in my whole league career, but I carried that team to victory. Even the enemy said so without me asking them.

I did not tell my teammates they were bad. I did not say much really besides pings and what to capture, but I owned bottom lane hard with kayle. I was given 2 teamwork and 1 honorable opponent honors too! On the picture provided is the ending stats. Black outs are allies and Red outs are enemies. Enjoy!

Edit : I got my starting kills from laning against Kog'maw.
The score was 300-480, 250-400, 178-0 when I really snowballed.

I like Kayle (not as much as you, of course), but I cannot seem to get her to work well with me. I always need to be carried instead of being the carry .

Thank you! Maybe a build order would help you out. This is what I do on Dominion, excluding when you need to adapt to the enemy team.

ADC Style - Approx. 75% physical damage.
Start with Boots + Prospectors blade + 2 hp pots.
Berserker Greaves
Vampiric Scepter into Sanguine blade
Then build 2 full phantom dancers.
Infinity Edge

Hybrid Style - Approx. 50% physical damage.
Start with Boots + Prospectors blade + 2 hp pots.
Berserker Greaves
Vampiric Scepter
Daggers into Malady
Daggers into Stinger into Nashor's Tooth.
Pickaxe or Blasting wand into Rageblade
Take that original Vampiric Scepter and all the way into a hextech Gunblade.

AP Style
I do not recommend it on Dominion.


Of course theres always exceptions like needing the LastWhisper for Malhpite or Kite's Bloodrazor for Cho'Gath, or The Lightbringer for Akali or a Wit's End for magic resistance, or if you prefer Maw of Malmortious for magic resistance. These items also arent set in stone either! Sometimes you need that first zeal between your Vampric Scepter and your BF sword. Some people play differently then myself and thats fine because I could be totally wrong.

From what I see ADC style gets more damage on a straight duel against lets say, a training dummy if that makes sense to you. Hybrid Kayle doesn't do quiet as much damage straight out but is healing for more, harassing for more, and splashes for more. Hybrid Kayle also shreds more magic resistance with the Malady with higher cooldown reduction.


I prefer to play bot lane with Kayle. Kayle gets countered by champions with gap closers that are equal to or greater than the distance of Kayle's Reckoning, example Jayce's to the skys. This is up to each individual player however since I've beaten Xins with kayle but I've been beaten by Xins with Kayle.

I fought a Talon the other day as Kayle bot lane, he shat on my face.

AP actually has a very strong midgame. I think the main thing your Hybrid build has over your AD build is the CDR, which is easily fixed by picking up a Ghostblade or Ionians.

I've been doing hybrid build, its quite strong

splashing BFT on everyone is really powerful

I really love the new Rageblade for Kayle as a health reset button in combination with her ultimate. I've used that with Nashor's, and then went for an IE and had a very nasty late game, in ARAM. I actually haven't tried Kayle bot in Dominion.

* The thing about Katarina is that both Champions have enough damage to kill each other in one go. Its a fight of who uses their ultimate first. If Katarina uses her ultimate first, then Kayle can shield herself and win. If Katarina makes Kayle panic and shield herself early, then Katarina just needs to wait it out and then kill Kayle. I've beaten and lost to Katarinas in both lanes and jungle off this simple principle.


Now of course this is just my memory of my match ups which is not perfect and each match up was my skill level against theres so this is not set in stone. I'm certain someone else can beat the champions I cant with kayle and vise versa.
