Don't get me wrong, I loved ff8's story up until 3/4ths through the game.

I thought that a lot of the character development was pretty good for its time, the music was great, and the graphics were dropdead gorgeous.

Just.. the last few hours of the game were something I don't want to remember.

And god the ending made absolutely no sense.

ff8 was better imo, ff7 was a great game too but overrated

but we all know the best playstation rpg was legend of dragoon

FF8 has the most solid main-character development out of any FF game ever but a lot of the story was a bit..... forced. It also takes some crazy amount of easter-egg hunting to actually reveal most of the main characters backstory, even if they hint at it through the main plot. FF9 is probly my favorite overall.

The last good Final Fantasy was 12 lol. (imo) I didn't hate XIII or XIII-2
