Good thought, I dont play support enough to complain but this change could only be good for the game.

I never have this problem, I just count the only three wards on the map.

sometime you may miscount if u bought extra wards, or your teammate help you to set any wards, or you need to replace the ward with sacrificing the others when its necessary.
you just cannot know the ward placed situation directly and this problem brings unnecessary extra difficulty when you play support.
