I understand why Dota 2 make fun of league players, because I must admit, Dota 2 is harder than league. But Dota 2 is harder in really dumb aspects of the game.

1. it's hard to distinguish who's who in that game.
2. it's hard to learn and there is really no real guide line in how to play
3. it's super snowbally, so i guess it takes more skill not to lose your lane
4. there is no comback

what is the point of making character indistinguishable? I never understood that. And I wouldn't call that "taking more skill", because you just have to play the game for so darn long, and eventually learn all the character. It's just super inaccessible for people who are trying to have fun with the game. But in league, every champion models are unique and easily distinguishable and I think that's awesome.

also Dota 2 overcompensates when you kill someone, because not only you get the gold, the dead loses significant amount of gold. that is just snowbally as f and that leaves no room for the comeback.

your stats does not scale with the skill. which means, the game is all about pure dps when it comes to late game. at least in league, every role is appreciated late game. (even though, dps does the most damage late game) what kind of stupid shi is that?

just my opinion, but i think LoL is more enjoyable

Character design-wise this is specifically what they tried to avoid. The minimap takes getting used to in that regard, though.

Yeah, there needs to be some sort of tutorial. IIRC denying, etc isn't taught to you by the game. I might be wrong, though. Also last hitting is harder than in league due to lower base damage, denying, and different autoattack animations.
I had a friend guide me through it, so now I'm kind of an idort who plays both games.

These are both at least a little bit true, although there are situations where the latter can be wrong.

I admit, dota has its flaws, but it's not necessarily a bad game. Both games have neat concepts that the other doesn't (for example, dota has denying, accuracy/evasion, and runes, lol has innate passives, summoner spells, and smartcasting)

I love both games, really.

denying and evasion is dumb imo.

1. denying can easily control the creep wave towards your side.
2. evasion makes MOBA a slot machine.

Seriously, there is place for comeback if your enemy leave you to farm/you can farm. I had once a game that lasted for more than an hour as Brood. In the end i just had to kill Silencer so my friend can initiate with Tide (they don't had anything like am, void etc.) for few times and we won even thou it was around 23:38 in kills when they pushed our barracks

Dota is far more BUILD reliant than league will ever be.

The items in dota play a far bigger role than your champion 9/10 times. The only exception being the "True Hyper Carries" And even then their itemization is stupidly important.

Denial of creeps and last hitting actually leads to a more chess like match in your lane, over the "Wait n bait" scenario that happens near every league game.

Graphically. Dota2 is annoying. The color pallet is pretty bland and many champs just blend in with the scenery. League wins hands down in this aspect.

Honestly though. Both are great games and at the end of the day dont you league fans ever ever ever forget.

Aeon of strife----Dota(Wc3)------Dota Allstars(Wc3TFT)------HoN-------League of Legends------Dota2.

That time line is important. Dont forget your roots of where the inspiriation for league of legends even came from to begin with. Its easy to hate, its harder to learn.

EDIT: My timeline is a little funny as a good guy somewhere in this thread pointed out. League of legends in fact came before HoN.

Dota, PUNISH EVERY MISTAKE YOU DO, you can suck at top with jax dying like and idiot but when you get a trinity and a hextech, then GA you're able to **** the enemy.

1. yes it can be. If you fall behind in a lane and you don't get help, the enemy can zone you from CS and XP. And while he is CSing, he can also deny and prevent the lane from pushing, what means even when you wait, you won't get any CS.
Good players know what to do then, but it needs experience and teamplay and is nothing for a player that plays alone.

2. Random things are always a problem. That's why they should be kept at a minimum.
the Dota crit system can be predicted. You know that if yurnero didn't crit with his 2. AA his 3rd will crit (maxed; i'm not sure if it was the 3rd or the 4th, but that system gets normally abused on the phantom assassin for a 400% dmg crit when you need it).
On the other side, you need to ward the rivers for the rune. If you don't, you have to guess and then it is a 50/50 chance that you are right. One rune can decide over a winning lane.

But that's Dota. If people don't like it, they can stay away from it.
