I would say almost all manaless champions could use a sheen like item, except for vladmir, and in competitive play we can't just waste stats like that, it can't have the same mechanics as sheen as that would be redundant having a sheen and a sheen with no mana, and for maximum potency make it also APless, so draven, darius, garen could use it with no loss.
I understand that a sheen like item that also gives ad would be broken if its cheap like sheen, but if you guys ever make a manaless sheen, it also needs to upgrade into something big.


I know, I know, sighstone is a defensive gp10 item, but i can think of many possibilities that i just don't need to ward or don't want to, and i don't feel very comfortable wasting early 700 hard earned gold to something i'm not sure if i will make better use than a gp10 item.
This problem also includes manaless and/or champions with no ap ratio that only have the option to go avarice blade.

Another thing, i know this is too much, but will champions like katarina ever have a chance in the jungle? I don't want to build a wriggle's neither a spirit of the spectral wraith, as a player said in another thread, a ap wriggle's could come in handy, of course with the right changes.

Sheen doesn't need to be nearly ubiquitous. The item is great as it is.

I can't imagine ever not needing to ward. What game are you playing?

If you can make perfect use of sheen on a manaless champ you get it anyway. That's how good sheen procs are.

What about garen? poor guy has a autoattack enhancer, no mana and no ap scaling

Garen has terrible usage of sheen.

He has a 3 second DoT that locks him out of auto attacks, no reliable sheen activation sequence, and has little use of auto attacks.

Compare to Darius with a 2 second CD auto attack reset that activates and applies sheen. Or Shyvana who has a strong constant spell sequence. Either of them scales better with sheen than garen does, both of them ignor at leats one of sheen's stats.

Forgot to mention Renekton, the way i play him in lane, or the way most people play him, is Q>attack>W>attack>E>attack>E>attack>Q, could really use a sheen
The main problem with getting a sheen is, coming to base, not having enough money to it and go to lane with a tome and a saphire crystal, which is really sad,

There's no real need for Sheen on Renekton, he gains far more from actual AD than he does from sheen. Late game filler? Maybe. Early and mid game? Just get Black Cleaver and Last Whisper.

No sane Renekton would build Sheen over Black Cleaver.

the fact about sheen is that THE PROC ALONE IS WORTH THE FULL COST OF THE ITEM so there really is no need for a manaless sheen.

Secondly, Heart of Gold as a defensive GP10 item was removed because defensive GP 10 items are JUST TOO POWERFUL, they help toplaners and junglers snowball too hard after slight successes, they were removed for that explicit reason and they certainly won't be introduced again.

And thirdly, NOT ALL CHAMPS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIABLE IN JUNGLE, Katarina is neither supposed nor designed to be good in jungle, champs that are supposed to jungle have a possibility to do so and quite a few champs who have no business being played as junglers sitll can do it, but not every champ needs to be jungle viable just as not every champ needs to be viable in every lane.

IMO, Sheen is made for hybrid champ mostly, cause you got the ap/mana that you would like on mage, and the AA dmg and ad scaling for ad champ.

So making it so it gives ad would break the thing.

Nobody buys Sheen for the mana. Akali, for example, makes great use of Spellblade despite using Energy. The mana is, sometimes, a total loss, but the AP isn't and if you can possibly make good use of the passive (such that the item slot is worth it) then you can definitely soak the cost of a Sapphire Crystal to get it.
