2. care more about your education and future
I say this because your arguing points are that you do good for yourself in school and keep your room clean. You should want to do these things naturally, it should not be a decision you make or one that you are praised for. You're getting all A's? That's fantastic, with this you will earn a scholarship and have no problem getting into a nice college, from there you can land a nice job and spend as much money on a computer as you would like.
I would also warn you though that $1000 is obsessive and your mom is right for second guessing this.
It's funny, because this letter ended up being something I would have written to 16 year old me given the chance.
Video Games are never going away, fix your priorities, save the money yourself and purchase it if you want it. Your mother is probably trying to teach you some responsibility anyway.
