It's going pretty good, just have to finish the right shoulder, helm, and cloth. Then I may just do a quick splash background with some random colors or something.
I think I have kinda outdone myself here. It looks pretty good, its not really an action shot like my poppy. More of a standing pose. He looks like a mage king with green crystals.
Also I may just throw in some random strange glyphs on the chest like you said he had. That may take some extra planning.
i drew the beginnings of my first concept but haven't gotten to coloring as of yet (I dont have a scanner and with me living with 2 younger kids painting is not a good idea)
