I played a match with thresh earlier today, and tried ad style to test. At around 400 ad his passive procs for 999 max. At around 130 or so (which isn't difficult to attain) the Q was telling me at max the damage was 400. (not sure how that math worked out even though it was suppose to be 200%)

The fact that you collect souls gives you armor and ap and such. This also boosts your W which you can use to shield yourself. Coupled with the fact that he has an R that traps people inside... I'd almost say he's exactly like clockwerk from dota.

Q in, R trap, W shield, wreck face. The damage he gains is insane, on par with ap rengar. I wouldn't be suprised if the numbers get tweaked.

Hate to burst your bubble but Thresh is a melee with a long AA range...

Yes we know that thresh has a short AA range. However, so does urgot. and even teemo only has about 25 more range than him. What I am saying is not completely building ADC style. as said on my 2/3rd reply. but more on building ad/bruiser. Focusing on his Q passive as his main source of damage. I think instead of going adc on him. perhaps jungle would be a more viable place for him? Or as said before a kill lane type scenario with a Jax/ Panth etc.

Hybrid maybe, if they change his skills (which I'm sure they'll change some things)

With a passive like that (which isn't infinite) versus, idk, fiora, seems like a terrible idea. His ult sounds good, but it scales AP, and versus ashe, ez, or varus? Seems bad.

Yeah, Urgot works because his abilities scale off AD and he has some really long ranged abilities. Thresh doesn't seem to fit that bill from what I've read. He would probably doesn't need any AD since his passive scales off of souls more than AD as he needs time between auto attacks for it to scale up. It seems he might be able to go AS though if he always deals that soul damage.

Hm...I see...does it say on RoG or anywhere else if his passive can benefit from crits?

What does his moves scale off of ad, ap, or both? And does anyone have any info on how well he actually scales with gear? prob not the best if his passive is as good as everyone says

Ok. I just played Thresh in PBE Custom with BOTS (I know it's not the best place to test but whatevs). I tried two builds.

Firstly AP. All his moves are scaled AP except his Q Passive (If I can remember). His ult does a ton of damage if you set it up right (making the enemy hit two walls) and he doesn't really pull but rather drags the enemy at two intervals (also hits the first thing where it be a champion or minion). And you can use E while Q is dragging the enemy.

My 2nd try with AD/AS was much more effective IMO. His long range is able to hit an enemy when they are escaping and with your Q and E it makes it even harder for the enemy not to get hit by your AA. During late game, if farmed a lot 200 souls give approx 110 Bonus AP/Armor (can't remember how much armor you get) but I think about 50 - 70 souls, the AP gained is half (0.5) and will keep giving you half onwards. My build was Beserker Greaves, Zephyr, Infinity Edge, Trinity Force, Phantom Dancers and Hextech Gunblade. Probably the most impractical build but it gave me about 1.8-9Attack Speed, Lifesteal and Spellvamp, 65% Crit chance, approx 270 AD and AP (approx 110 AP from souls) and his movement speed was about 472 (included the 15+ MS bonus movement speed from boots). This build allowed me to chase and hit at a pretty safe distance as his AA is by far the longest i've seen for a melee champ.

Well this is my contribution. Probs not the best. xD

quick question, do souls have a limit? like can you keep on getting souls like stacks on nasus' q? or can you only get 200ish? and thanks for the extra bit on his moves! I didnt know about the qe combo lol.
