I think a basic bruiser like Trundle is much more beginner friendly than a melee ADC in terms of helping you get started in the game.

I disagree. Yi is 450 IP while Trundle is 4800. It is much more likely that players would see Yi
in the tutorial and buy him and learn him.

Also: Trundle is not basic at all.

Melee adcs aren't intuitive at all for new players to play. They'll end up dieing right away playing them due to not knowing when to go in at all.. at least trundle would be a bit more tanky.

This guys knows it. The tutorial characters should be among the cheapest and easiest to play in the game. Thats why Yi is the opponent and ashe is played. Using Trundle for Lore reasons is admirable but wrong.

The super new players who play that tutorial don't care about the lore (yet), and Trundle isn't a character they can reasonably go play right after seeing him.
