A) No one else does -> No one to play with.

B) Everyone else does -> Server overloaded.

No wins!

Thanks for supporting the game which you play for free.

I've played on PBE for nearly 15 months,my old Summoner name on the forums was THEoGRIMoREAPER until my name-change, and I know the majority of players with 400+ wins. RexRaptor (biggest noop) has 546 Wins.

If anything, we should be looking at the players that have joined recently (past 3-6 months) and look at their play time.

I came across this player in a Co-op vs AI game in October/November.

Ye I remember you showing me that. OP. A few of us did hang out mainly on the pbe, but the problems of trolls and/or bad players is overwhelming after a while.

I disagree with playing only on the PBE, it doesn't really help anyone, or Riot that much, unless you are the type to try to get out bug reports whenever you notice something. That is what I try to do whenever I'm on the PBE. Also, with free IP, what fun is it if it is handed to you? The earning/unlocking aspect is part of what makes league fun. Also when people say about the free RP being the reason for going to it, I just frown upon that. You like the game so much, why not actually contribute to it? If I want a skin, I pay real money for it, to support the company making it, like how it is intended to be. I put ~$150 in RP on over the xmas season in skins and gifting, and I don't regret it nor will I later, I supported the company who's work I appreciate, so I am content with that. Just playing on the PBE just takes away from the entire purpose of that.

I don't think it is very helpful to just main pbe. I use both accounts to help me test out the bugs. The bugs we find in pbe shouldn't show up on the public league. I play the public league to see if these bugs show up, because so many on the public servers won't report bugs because they don't know to.

I initially joined PBE to try out the item rework and test things--including Dominion, which nobody seems to play on PBE except for Hide and Seek.

Dominion (my favorite mode) is another big reason I prefer Live most of the time.

I still like bugtesting, although I do admit to trying out champs on PBE. I do try to buy champions I particularly like from PBE on live (such as Malzahar, who needs more free weeks), though.

After being on PBE for a little while, getting everything for free kind of kills the game for me. There's honestly no sense of progression anymore. You get the new champion as soon as they're put into the game, you get free IP/RP so you never have buy anything so IP is meaningless, after a while of having everything, it's nice to go back to my Live account and feel like my games actually account for something.

I like LoL and all, but this game without some kind of grinding gets old really quickly.

Pretty much this. I used to come on the PBE quite often, trying to help maintain a positive environment and assist others in Public Chat 1. After going there for about a year, though, it really wears you down. Having to constantly repeat "you'll get your IP/RP sometime in the next few days" is just frustrating when you know the information is on the forums. Trolls and ragers aren't as bad in Co-op, but it's still a larger problem than on live. I've been making the slow transition back to live, like many of the others with whom I frequently play.

Kill yourself.

But in all seriousness, I play PBE mostly, not just to test, but to adjust to any drastic changes in Live ahead of time. (Playing with the S3 changes a month in advance to get to know all my builds and such) Not to say I don't still actually do testing, and I still make sure to support my favorite company, hell I bought Ezreals legendary skin when it came out (because hell if im paying full price) and I bought Zombie Brand and a lot of other skins, all in all i think I've spent well over 300$ easy on League, and I don't regret it. It's fair to say they earned it with all the nice skins. But this isn't relevant to your post.

Working for your IP is a huge part of the game bro, you aren't meant to be handed things, if you want things, you work for them, thats the way the world works. It's very rare to be handed those things for no reason in particular.

Also, "less competitive". If you want less competitive play, don't play MOBAs. Please. or Play Demigod, on Single player. No one wants someone who isn't competitive in any kind of PVP, and thats what this is, it's meant to be competitive. That doesn't mean everyone has to be a ******bag about you making a mistake, which i find most people do, it just means everyone should be doing what they think will help their team win. Obviously anyone who wants a less competitive environment probably doesn't think about winning, which is fine and all, but I don't think MOBA's are right for you if thats the case.

A lot of the times on PBE I see people messing around, and not doing much else from that, even if it is PBE, it's still League of Legends, you should still play to win. (While testing for bugs, sometimes bugs make it hard to play let alone win. That just means you're playing on a test server, that doesn't mean you shouldn't try) I feel like I'm playing a totally different game from my teammates when I'm not with my friends, like, I'm playing League of Legends, and they're playing Little Big Planet.
