@Riot:Suggestion for Luxs skillcap

Wouldnt it be nice if you could influence how far the staff travels on her w-shield?

If you´d make it a skillshot like olafs q you could adjust the distance and make it come back earlier so the reshielding is done faster (has advantages/disadvantages sometimes). Would be a small buff ofc, but only very skilled players could use it properly.

Dont know if it would make her too difficult to play properly (because you could sometimes use w "wrong" compared to now) so it would require testing but overall i like such "tricky" mechanics.

Any thoughts on this?

Why would we buff lux. All you have to do is stand a mile away and cast all your moves in succession she is the last champion that needs a "skill" check. On the little amount of skill it takes to snipe ks. Her shield In my opinion already shields for too much.
Plus she also has very low cds and people typically build to make them lower. She cults every 30 sec..
Sorry but she does not need any attention.

You got no feedback because there's no need for this. Not only is Lux supposed to stand at such a range that her shield needs that length, but it would be rather annoying to fire it just short because you didn't swipe your mouse all the way to the edge between scrolling the camera and maximum range (cause some of us like to hit the Space bar and recenter the camera to get our bearings, y'know).

Well its more to add depth to her gameplay. CD on ult is low yes. On basicskills its quite high tbh.

But i agree shes strong and fine and such in current state.
Maybe making the shield even more "potent" for very high skilled players would make her veery strong in competitive play.
If you shield twice and take into account it shields multiple allies (and you instantly) its really a strong skill already.but id love to have even more control over it.

Just an idea which came to my mind while playing her again after a while. But maybe you are right with OPness...

OK- agree. Would make her very "noobunfriendly" for a quite cheap champ (ip-wise).
Tradeoff with frustration if doing it wrong. I understand your point.

But maybe Riot gets the idea for skills on new champs. Something like luxs w or ahri q which do something while flying back- but with adjustable range.

You know- more skill involved in a new skillshot among the high number of similar skillshots we already have in this game.

But maybe the example of lux was just wrong because shes really quite balanced around her current playstyle.

Draven's ultimate already does this on a global range

Sure- it comes back if it hits something or you press the key (with delay).
But thats not what i really meant.
I thought of a kinda contollable shorter range skillshot where you determine the length befroe firing.
To make it more interesting you could also add something which gives an incentive to fire it short, like cd starts when it returns or is lowered or something.
New champs are often quite "complicated", so why not such a mechanic?

Just stop please... Your formulation of information is garbage and your ideas are that of a mentally handicapped 10 year old playing Mega Man for the first time ( or any megaman game to be honest). You're trying to suggest to make a already easy champion easier with mechanics that a 12 year old in remedial math could probably understand because it's not how fast will this dumb train get here but have often do I get to throw **** or shoot laser beams. the new champions are anything but hard mechanically It's not like playing Meepo or Invoker in dota. Most heroes skills in LoL are insanely straight forward and the heroes themselves only really have to fulfill one role in the game.
