Can we please have an option in the menu to have it detach

I honestly prefer playing with it detached and have grown accustomed to playing these champions and getting accurate with their detached cones

We have an option to have smart cast on or off, and this is no different in my eyes

There are pros to it being attached and not attached.

I see your point and i agree it would be nice to see.
