I Think they should add another slot only for wards for late game when all of your slots are filled with your main items

this idea has been suggested hundreds of times already, and its been mentioned by riot (I believe it has at least) that they arent going to implement this because you have to choose between being able to use wards or having 6 items

though they do notice that having wards does reduce the viability in your build cuz a stack of wards doesnt really make up for the item choice, that is why they introduced the new item, sightstone or ruby sightstone, now you have an unlimited supply of wards, though only 2-3 can be active at any given time and you also have health, thats their answer for you

agreed. every single person having wards, what the heck is the point of fog of war?

Well, a lot of times ppl dont buy ward even if they have an inventory space open...

The point of having the same amount of slots is strategy. You can't just have everything handed to you on a silver plate can you? At that point you have to pick and choose what you are going to get around your wards, if you are going to get ruby and normal sight stone as well as normal wards, normal and pink wards, some combination of those four, forgo sightstones in favor of just green wards and more items, deciding the wards aren't worth it this game with such a predictable enemy and going all items, etc.

Its just like playing any other role and strategizing your items layout. "Will I get two health items and four damage out put items this game?"

The real problem is player mentality at lower levels.... they will often not buy wards and blame the support for not buying more than a sightstone... which to be honest is not viable since the support already earns the least amount of gold.

It's a very rare issue when everyone on your team has enough gold to have 6 complete items (ruby sighstone doesn't count in this case) But if you are in that situation, your support will generally have to decide between another item or a bunch of vision wards.
Wards will help give you opportunities to catch someone out, another item will give you slightly increased team fight presence.

It's intended to be a decision that must be made in the extreme late game.
