Why is the leave que for ranked so long?

Because according to Riot, the game starts at champion select. Also since you can see the other team's picks, if there were no penalty or a very lenient one, people would continue to dodge until they get the perfect team comp that is better than the other team's.

Meaning, ranked games would never start.

You can already see this an ARAM customs where there's no dodge penalty.

Yeah, and no one is perfect enough to pick something every body likes. I understand now, thank you. But, it still doesn't make sense why some people have to ruin or even waste time by trolling.

true, right now i saved my team from playing with 3 adc i dodged at the last second waiting for one of them to dodge it but hey its me who lose 30 minute because of those 3 little baby
