Because they take this more seriously than American's take football. To them it's more than a job. It's a lifestyle. Like a real career.

Everywhere else it's a cool job that you do for a while then move on to a real job.

It is an actual job to them. They practice it until they hate the game.

Videogames aren't as frowned upon, the ability to make money in tournaments is far more of a thing, so more people are able to enjoy them and see it as a positive thing.

With all of that, you are going to have more people and more competition, meaning a far stronger group of players making it to the top.

They don't celebrate Christmas and take vacations like the lazy westerners.

koreans who are good at this game prioritize this game. alot of my friends start playing like 6 in the morning until like 12 at night and they study this. They like memorize calculations and stuff. not even kidding. they take it to another level. im a bad korean lol

It has been explained before. Their culture considers gaming to be a legit career, and thus people are encouraged to really strive to excel at it. They have much higher standards for how they practice, they do not televise their strategies, and they work very hard to make sure their entire team is so well coordinated they don't even need to speak to know what another member would do in any situation. They make sure they know how every fight will go down, what spells will be used when, and how to create a situation that benefits their team way better than both NA and EU teams do.
