The champions most likely don't have racial characteristics because if they became underpowered some could take it racist. Even with giving a champion African american (black) characteristics could be taken offensively to some.

Taric is a Pimp but clearly white.... As to why there are no melatonin loaded champions of the league ask yourself why Stan Lee never had a black friend of Spider-man or why there are no black avengers excepting of course the movies and let's face it leader of Shield isn't a superhero.
