teemo i think is any type of champ on league except a support. yet when i was looking for a support champ teemo came up. Can someone explain to me why he's called a support or if there is no explanation riot sould take off that label and maybe even call him a carry instead.

teemo is a great support. Pop outta bush, blind, then run back into bush. Then he just shrooms everything and patiently waits for the right opportunities to pop outta stealth and lay as much poison as possible.

I think Teemo is labeled as a support because his shrooms provide a little bit of vision. But Teemo shoulld not be labeled as a carry. Those who are labeled as a carry are ADC (ranged or melee), which Teemo is not.

Ding ding ding. His amazing map awareness is why he's labeled as a support. None of his other abilities really qualify.

Many of the tags for older champions are dubious. His 'carry' tag was from back in the day when he was considered a mediocre ADC. That changed quite a while ago.

Teemo is a terrible support. Why pick teemo for his blind when you could pick taric and get a much stronger CC plus an armor buff/debuff and sustain? Teemo also needs a sizable chunk of gold in order to be at all useful late game, where as the whole point of a support is that they can be useful at all stages of the game while having only a small income.

Blind, fairly high base damages, mushroom pseudowards and the passive he had at the time, which granted map vision. He's not a good support right now, but he has the support skillset for if the meta changes.

A support is defined by riot as any champion whose abilities directly benefit their team. This can be in the form of healing/buffs, or debuffing the enemy to aid in killing an enemy (slows/blinds/map awareness in teemo's case).

A lot more champions fall under this definition than are labeled as such, or should, since support is a team position as well as a descriptor and the label is misleading in many instances.
