Wukong has always been one of my favorite champions but I previously only jungled with him since I had a hard time laning with him. Recently I found Wukong had too many shortcomings as a jungler and better in lane if he actually had one of the few match ups he could win, and their don't seem to be many.
He has his Q > E > W combo to bully but do that twice and you've depleted most of your mana. He has no sustain and no real safe way to last hit without getting punished for it unlike most top laners.
It seems best to go double Dorian's Blade on him for the damage and health, wondering if I should do different. Also is Wriggles still worth it the nerf seems bad.

Wukong is strongest in the jungle and in Mid. His early game is just too weak to survive most match-ups in top lane to the point where he becomes strong.

If you're finding jungle-kong less than satisfactory, I strongly suggest looking into counter-jungling extensively, as Wukong is exceptional in this regard.

I usually do draft pick with Wukong and I do fine with him top lane. I mostly always win my lane, get fed and chunk people's health with my Q cause Trinity Force on Wukong is Nasty. I tend to go

Boots of speed and 3 health pots
Boots of speed -> Beserker Graves
Brutalizer -> Black Cleaver
Phage > Zeal > Sheen -> Trinity Force
Vampiric Scepter -> Bloodthrister
BF Sword > Pickaxe -> Infinite Edge
Zeal -> Phantom Dancer

By time I'm getting Bloodthrister or Infinite Edge it is usually GG.

Also, use the bushes to your advantage if you're not against a teemo.

Example 1: When getting away from a few attacks and what not I would W and run into a bush so they don't see me right away then I can initiate an attack if I wanted with my E from the bush.
Example 2: When an enemy is running into a bush that you're in I would use my W so when they go in the bush they attack the fake and I get a jump on them and they have wasted their abilities.

Also, sometimes when I feel safe I would use my W to sneak up to them and then E and then Q, so they don't know I'm going to attack them. You also can use your W to block skill shots, such as Ezreal's Q to you don't die if you're at low health.
