its funny how every champion mentioned for comparison has a ranged attack to reach their enemy while garen has to rely on surprise attacks to land his attacks. thus the reason why his health is so high. garen never gets the first attack when going head on without coming out of the brush.

the only way he'll be able to do that is with flash, but flash is a summoner spell and thus every champion can use it as well. making that advantage null.

so yea, nothing wrong with garen, just gotta learn how to counter play him. stop being a 1 trick pony and learn to change your builds on the fly

His stacks can become really ridiculous once he gets Warmog's. Armour Pen. isn't usually obtanted at midgame which is when he usually gets it so it's a real pain in the ass.

The people who think garen is OP should play him some time...

No instant gap closer, highly kitable, almost no resistance to CC, relies on short range skill combo to deal damage, no hard cc. no escape beyond a ms buff, his only sustain is his passive which requires not being hit/potentially being zoned.

Anyone who has experience with Garen knows how to counter him...because he only has one trick...

Well obviously they're going to say he needs a nerf when the only options in your survey are nerfs to Garen or an option implying that you play Garen and are biased.

Garen is only as useful as the amount of time you spend attacking him.

It makes me sad that people constantly try to get characters nerfed that they got stomped by instead of looking at facts like pro usage. You'd think when a character is NEVER used in competitve play that they'd take the hint and see that maybe their issue with said character is due to the way they're playing against him. Like with the unceasing "nerf Darius cause I'm bad!" threads and even the occasional Trynd threads that pop up. Garen hasn't even been changed in months, but apparently he's still hard for some people lol

ironically all three of the champs he used as examples can beat him in lane
