why do people think Lux=anything to do with anime?

I am a anime fan and have watched a lot of anime from freaking Robotech to Vampire Knights to Rosario+Vampire to the new ones like Bleach, etc as well as Soul Eater.

and I have to say that Lux in no way reminds me of a anime girl.

In fact by her hair and outfit she reminds me more of a 1950 U.S. T.V. homemaker wearing a girls cheerleader outfit.

What are your thoughts? Can someone in someway please tell me how anyone could get anime anything from a girl in that hair and looks that old?

I don't know, but I'm working on my Architectural Engineering degree with a focus in lighting/electrical engineering, and I find this new character hilariously awesome. Props to riot for giving the illuminating engineers something to laugh about. I don't care if she's anime, I'm buying her anyway.
