Have you ever... BEEN to a university?

If you think even the average age of a university student is 23, I highly question your knowledge.

Then again the U.S. education system is all kinds of borked.

Most people graduate high school at 18, do their 4 years of college, and are done by 22.

Probably because of the argument that it really doesn't matter and is none of our business.

If someone gets an abortion without telling anyone, then we wouldn't even know or care. That's called privacy.

The question you have to ask is why do you care?

You say "the responsibility of being a parent," but that might actually be improved with abortions. A parent can be responsible by
-investing money for the costs of the child
-caring for the child

If a person does not want the child or cannot afford the child, then they are not really being responsible by having it.

Yea, I would say that not taking these risks is the most "responsible" thing to do in the case you cannot have a child. But if you are already past that point it comes down to forcing people to take care of something they may not have the resources to.

This.

I understand your a dentist and this probably took 5? years, but even then you should be done before/by 23. I also don't include internships/working study etc as being at university.

Every normal person has the capacity to look after a child, both financially and emotionally, they just have to put a bit of effort in. Some people aren't prepared to put in that effort, and that's their decision, but saying that they aren't in a position to have a child is a complete fallacy and a cop-out for the real reasons behind why their doing it (there scared/lazy/immature individuals who don't want to take responsibility for their actions)

My 2c anyway (and YES i am authorised to make comments like this)
