So when you're thinking about these things there are a lot of possibilities! Math is great fun like that and the reason I chose/got a degree in mathematics! The most important thing to realize is you are going to be wrong a lot of the time. It happens. It is nothing to be ashamed of - some of the most brilliant minds ever to make their mark on human history were wrong all the time! Some even famous for the quality of the idea even when it ended up being wrong in the long run.
Don't get angry at people for correcting you and if you're correcting someone don't look down on them for being wrong - There are plenty of things you're wrong about all the time whether you or anyone else realizes.
I know it is hard to swallow some things but mathematics is very abstract and often concepts in mathematics don't seem to follow your intuition. That is okay! These things have taken centuries even some millennia to come to where they are today and despite what some people will tell you they're still changing and at a rapid pace!
TL;DR - Math is hard - you'll be wrong sometimes. It is okay.
