I got a new friend into LoL today and while playing a bot game I told him to get Beserker's Greaves to make him shoot faster as Miss Fortune. Mind you, he speak's no English, so he went by picture and got Ninja Tabi instead, insisting that anything Ninja would make you attack faster.
Apart from the fact that I added an other Spanish speaking player to LoL I also noticed this when I first played LoL as well:

Why does Beserker's Greaves give you and attack speed buff when it's picture is armor clad boots?

Why does Ninja Tabi give you armor when it clearly says ninja and tabi looks like this : http://www.karatemart.com/ninja-tabi-boots

WHY?!

For the sake of continuity and sanity, the effects as well as prices should be switched.

Then again...why is Shen a tank?

Why is Heart of Gold a turtle shell?

Why do two books make a gun, and then adding a stick makes it another book?

Why does a dagger made of ice turn into a torch of balefire?

Why do three swords and a hammer make a triforce?

back in the day ninja tabi gave, dodge, well dodge got removed so now its just armor. the dodge got replaced with the damage reducing passive.

also bezerker greaves look pretty much an offensive boot to me, its pointy, its got these sick rad sparks flying off of them, BEZERKERS greaves tells me im gonna mess people up with thes boots, greaves have been used as armor and a weapon.

I ask you then, which would win in a race?
