Losing less LP per person d/c'd?

Is this true riot?

I just played a ranked game with two d/cs and only lost 5LP. Is this working as intended? Or was this just a coincidence and there were other factors affecting the amount of LP gained/lost?

What I think they might be doing is moving the burden of points lost onto the people who DC'ed. For example, if I was in a 2v2 match, and a person on my team DC'ed causing me to lose, the loss would change from 10 points for me and 10 points for him to 5 points for me and 15 points for him.
Although this is just a guess, hopefully Riot can clear this up.
