Lol Launcher wont start?

I can also attest to this. The irony is really killing me right now, as just before I was about to start the match I'm supposed to be in right now, I said "I hope no one leaves like they did in my last game". And, of course, I can't even launch the game. Karma's not nice, not at all.

riot. dont pist a "fix" and close the thread like you did to the other one. it is obviously a bug in your error, not ours. please fix it. i am not re downloading another 3 gigs.

After turning off windows firewall, I was able to re-download the game. After this I'll see if the same problem arises if not. I'll try once again re-adding LoL to the windows firewall exceptions list. Scrap that, Even with windows firewall off I am still unable to get past the same error.

It has nothing to do with the firewall. i did the same, aand it aint working. not to mention riot support has decided to take a holiday. have not gotten a reply since i reported this like what, 7 hours ago?

Hey guys,

Thank you for bringing this issue to the Help and Support Forum! I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread, but unfortunately, there are only so many hours in a day in which I try to help as many people as I can! ^.^ Hopefully, we can get this issue squared away for you guys so that you can get back to the Fields of Justice!

Given the nature of this issue, it is possible that you may have some problems with the configuration of your system permissions. League of Legends requires administrative privileges to install and run correctly. There are several fixes for this problem I would like all of you to try:

1) Make sure you have all available windows updates installed from this website:
- http://update.microsoft.com

2) Make sure you are an administrator:
- http://www.ncsu.edu/antivirus/faq/admin/index.php

3) Disable UAC(Windows Vista or Windows 7)
- http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/
- Be sure to use the "Never notify me when:" setting

4) Run the game as an administrator:
- Right-Click on the short-cut
- Select the properties tab
- Check the box labeled "Run as administrator"

However, if you have tried every single one of these steps, and you are still slamming your keyboard in frustration attempting to get this error message to go away, then please do not hesitate to let us know by submitting a new Support Ticket*, so we may work with you one-on-one until arriving at a Full Resolution!
