I picked up Heimer just to mess around with, and I actually found I liked him better as a support. Between the turrets and grenades, he can get a lot of vision, and the missiles are good poke. His passive is more useful with two people benefiting from it. The only problem is, the turrets fire so indiscriminately, taking CS or revealing themselves in bush prematurely.

I think Alt should toggle them to active or inactive. No effect on mid Heimer, but it might make support Heimer viable.

It would be nice, but it's also a hidden buff, since it would allow Heimerdinger to not push his lane if he was falling behind and wanted to camp near his tower.

I just bought Heimerdinger and I love him as a support, but there are other ways to handle his turrets. If you place them in the side brush, they won't hit most minions (and will stop the enemy support from poking you). If you need to, you can place one anywhere in an emergency, and it will only push the lane for a little while. As long as you ward well, it's safe enough to do.

Would really be a ninja buff to heimer. If you manage to set-up as heimer should in a bush and wait for your lane opponent/enemies to chase to try and counter you, holding turret from shooting would people lots of people in deaths door without any warning. Heimer turrets do a lot of damage, that's why they stay stationary you add that with his ability to stun/blind/poke with grenade and missiles he would dominate.
