I really think they could use an interaction easter egg, no? Considering they are both gem champs. I recall in the JoJ one of the mailbag questions was for Taric regarding Skarner, and I recall him finding Skarner interesting or something, due to the fact that Skarner is possibly born of similar earthen magic to Taric's or something.
Would be neat.
