No need. They never answer controversial statements or criticism just to stay safe, lest they make a comment that would put them in a bad spot.
I must note, -constructive- criticism is actually answered if it pertains to important design flaws of the game itself, as you could see with Design/Balance teams answering threads in General Discussion time to time. However, there can be no constructive criticism in this specific forum, because opinions on Lore are ultimately biased and subjective. Lore is, in essence, writing, and writing, by extension, is an art. Everyone has different opinions on art, but none of them are ultimately right so much that he is able to criticize works.
Sure, I can write an essay in several dozen pages on what exactly is wrong with the Lore, but it's just that, my opinion. In fact, others already did - there is a sufficient amount of "Lore is gone gg" threads in various places, among which Eserine's threads stand out the most, although I daresay that the person is heavily radical in his statements.
So, knowing that the chance of being heard simply by posting on Lore forums is close to zero, I prefer not to spit blazing fury at Riot and have good faith in what they are doing. Sure, there's been no Lore for over a year, but in my opinion it's better to be positive and hope for it to come back, rather than demand drastic measures and accuse a company that you are not an owner of (and which gives you free stuff, by the way).
That doesn't mean I'm happy with the Lore situation - I very much am not - but hey, the world doesn't end with League of Legends lore. I can read other good things while the Creative thing is working on their projects - so why don't people do the same intead of being all angry?..
