Right now the sheer amount of wards is a bit absurd and people only buy pink wards for them

I propose having oracles persist past death like the other elixers, maybe even take 25% of its remaining duration upon respawn

because right now, it's whoever buys an oracle is throwing away roughly 250 gold just to kill some sightstone free wards - without leaving a ward behind like the pink ward

and ward hunting can be dangerous

we just need oracles extract instead of elixir on SR

With the introduction of sightstone it might be a good idea to return to the open ended duration on oracle's. Before, without the existence of unlimited wards Oracle's was too powerful as a permanent-until-death buff, but with sightstones, the balance has gone a bit too far in the other direction.

It's kind of like how the balance change went when they made Armor/MR less available while simultaneously increasing the effectiveness of %Pen AND adding the first % Armor Shred item; it was a stark change.

Except instead of shifting the focus slightly to a third balancing factor (Health, in the above case), it just completely reversed the effectiveness of the two factors' roles.

So they nerf Oracles then make a new item that gives up to 5 free wards, that's just stupid, Riot never thinking before they change something much like the Rengar nerfs, Oracles should last till death especially with the amount of wards that are on the map now, I haven't seen an Oracles used since S2, most useless item in the game.

No we don't. That's what we call a pink ward silly....


Really.. I play support.. it's not that we don't want to get it... it's just the cost of getting it is soo high and offers little return in the long run. Also, a lot of supports items are going up in price... so stuff like this cuts into our builds soo deep all the way untill late game.

What supports would like to see on oracles is this:
Upon death, orcales return 25% if still active.

That change alone would fix what's wrong with orcales... that or just make it cheaper really.

"Why?" One of the reason we are scare to get it ... is we're kinda of weak and easy to pick off... so lossing 400 gold is a qq . Giving it a buff like that would allow us not to be as scare, but still make it a item we don't get too offent still (for balance). Even if the orcales is about out of time... and the support goes and kills themselves.... it wont be worth the 25% regain as they will be down and out of their team making it a 4/5 untill they revive with -300 gold still lost on them.

Waiting for Riot to make a sightstone for pink wards lol. It might be doable. They'd just have to put a CD on it. Like you have to wait 2 minutes after placing a ward before you can place another one. Or you can't place another ward until 1 minute after the previous one disappeared. Though yeah, Oracles is a little under whelming right now.

they should introduce elixer extracts into SR with a lower duration for a lower cost. maybe something like 200 gold for 2 min which people can afford to buy and use in specific times like maybe during a team fight with a stealthed champ or preping for baron.
