I was in silver V and reached 100 points. It told me my nexts matches would be qualifier games. I won two matches in a row and was placed in silver VI. Can some please tell me why?

Silver V is Silver division 5 which is the lowest in your division. When you hit 100 League points, you would have gone to a promotion of best of 3 which you only had to win one match. If you won as you have proposed, you would be in a Silver IV which is Silver division 4. It is only when in Silver I (Division 1) where you can fight in a best of 5 and win your place into the next tier of gold.
