Don't put yourself in vulnerable position unless the enemy is sighted, or if you have a bush check skill - use it. You aren't getting CS/XP, but neither is anyone in the bush, however your jungler will be.

Like goggris said, just use a skillshot to check the bush. Also, when we run nidalee and shaco there are plenty of boxes/traps to make sure we always know where the enemy is if they try any janky level 1 strats
