I always thought Lulu was good. It's just that I always wanted her as support as opposed to those always fighting for mid(or top for that matter). Not that she was bad mid, it was that she did such a good job in support that I prefer her there.

isn't it just that they dont have mobility or as fast a wave clear as other mids do that make them less effective according to some people?

I didn't played her because the EU server had 3weeks a row conection trouble back then
I played Zilean as his ulti lasts 10secs and his mana consume got nerfed, i feel he is a little underplayed.
