Basically, I can afford one game. I'm torn between Super Mario 3d land and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time. Which do you recommend? Both have received insanely good professional reviews, and from what I can tell are both must-haves for any nintendo game collection. IGN ranked Super Mario 3d land slightly above Ocarina of time, but I'm not dumb enough to think that their sole opinion should decide the matter for me. Any recommendations?

If I were in your position, I would purchase Fire Emblem: Awakening. OuO

But if I had to choose between Mario and Zelda, I'd go with Zelda.

You can download it on the 3DS store for 39.99 and no tax. (I would also recommend this game for it's fun and longevity)

I'd go for Mario, if you already played Legend of Zelda Orcarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 or emulator.

Otherwise, take Legend of Zelda because you missed a great classic. There is not much of a change towards the original and the 3DS, just the graphics and 3D.

Fire Emblem, it's the only reason I even bought my 3ds in the first place.

If you're really into rpgs you can get Tales of the Abyss which is awesome. I can't comment on zelda or mario as i don't really like them much lol
