The source of the corruption that gives Varus his power is referred to in his Judgement as "a Pit of Pallas". The use of the indefinite article suggests that there are other, similar wells in Runeterra. The other day, it occurred to me that there's another champion who had been transformed by contact with mysterious black goo: everyone's favorite gravity-defying diver, Nautilus! It seems quite possible to me that what Nautilus and his shipmates stumbled across was an underwater Pit of Pallas.
