How come I gain less Leauge points?

I was playing with my Duo partner and we both had 55 points same div. When we lost he lost 16 while i lost 20. When we won I got 16 while he got 18. How come the league points works in favor of him

it means MATCH MAKING RAITING.... you have a higher raiting than whoever else ur talking about so he/she get rewarded more because they are rated lower than you bro thumbs ^ please
