She is not OP but is quite strong.

The problem is that Akali is a champion that is intended to 1v1 pretty much any champion (or else she would be 100% useless if she couldn't 1v1 as an assassin) and she excels at doing just that. People don't like it when they aren't able to kill a champ 1v1 so they call for nerfs and claim that champ is OP.

IMO she should get toned down just a bit because she requires a lot more counter play and strategy than a lot of other champions.

I also found the irony quite amusing.

Basically how you counteract her is to use a pink ward in her bubble or counter her. She is a snowball champion, which means if you feed her once or twice, she'll likely then have the items necessary to kill again and again and again until your team has no chance in living hell of stopping her.

Requires more skill than other aspects of game? Tone down pls, noobs might hurt their minds trying to wrap it around the concept of dropping these pink things upon seeing a puff of smoke, or not overextending without wards, or not 1v1ing assassins in general.

Leave as is, these are all things noobs need to learn just to become better at league over all. Sure Akali punishes people more severely for these mistakes, but good for her. If there is nothing in place to put emphasis on these in game aspects, how will people learn their importance?

even vlad can safely poke her before lvl 6 and afterwards you simply have to play smart. there a few champions which punish careless players more than akali.

Akali is solidly under the category of "beefy caster" with her pals Morgana, and Vladimir.

When a slow, squishy champion like Malzahar can kill you 1v1 that's fair.

When an agile, beefy champion with considerable sustain and multiple escape moves can kill you 1v1 that's bull****.

Not even remotely ****ing close. Need to change my pants from the amount of pissing I just did while I laughed at the incredible falsehood in your post. She might be tanky in appearance at the moment because its LEAGUE OF WARMOGS which fyi MEANS EVERYONE IS TANKY but if you actually know ANYTHING about the champion at all, its that under normal item balance she is never very tanky. She has good sustain for 1v1 that keeps her alive, in team fights she melts on sight. If you don't know this/have never seen it you clearly don't understand how to focus in fights/counter play vs Akali in team fights. Vlad/Morg are easily much tankier and last much longer in fights both under focus fire and not under focus fire...
