Since you guys hate snowballing (obv. by the darius nerf and you guys wanting every champ to be slowly nerfed into a poppy like state) just get rid of the alters... they make the map suck and they make it verrrry easy to snowball.

You are an idiot. So you're implying that ~4 more gold on CS and 10% more AD and AP make it "verrrry easy to snowball"?

No. The altars bring incentive to fight. If you see the enemy capping your altar and you are badly positioned, disengage or re-position yourself for an ace. Why not go cap their altar while they cap yours and kill the badly positioned enemies that try to stop you?

The bonuses from the Altars are barely noticeable until mid-late game and EVEN THEN they are not game changing. This map requires more skill than you think and if you're just going to blame the altars on how much you suck at controlling objectives then just go play fives.

The altars are the biggest difference rom the old ttl to the new. It brings an obj like taking reds or blues from the enemy to get that "edge" over the enemy. And for the extra 80g. Otherwise it'd be just a lane game with ganks. And that's boring. If your communication is good you should take theres with your team if you think it snowballs. Also you shouldn't engage in fights if they have them both and try to wait it out until you can capture yours or theres. There are a lot of solutions to your problem. And darius is like any other champ that gets kills. Anyone can snowball not just darius.

that is soo true both nerdsinc and HoS Que did make very valid points inwhich yes 3s made alters so there would be more teamfights instead of farming creap it gives u the extra gold so you dont have to go farm creeps and little amount that it is and dont go and fight them on the alter if they have both or if your team thinks u can take them that can be a ace in your favor inwhich can overturn the game games are never one sided unless your team just simply got countered or are outlaned the game can be turned around by taking a alter and simply playing safe

I think that the Alter are an amazing piece of the map for several reasons. One is that you can get on an enemy alter to bait them into stopping you, and gank them in the middle of their gank. They do provide a pronounced bonus but not anything that can't be overcome, even late game they are nice but essential. I have had many games where my team decides to just let them have the alter, and we were winning. I like the nervousness that you feel when stealing an alter as well. Are you going to get attacked, or are they waiting to ambush you afterwards, or are you just going to get away with it? It is different it is fun, it needs to be on a slightly larger map.
