How's Nocturne is S3?

I went like 6/1/6 with him last game in the first 15 minutes, but I still felt really underwhelming in team fights even though I was fed.
I know I must be itemizing wrong or something.

I built Warmog's on Nocturne before it was cool.

Late game teamfights I have 4.2k HP and just press R and go after the ADC with my Frozen Mallet. GG

The jungling and and ganks are amazing, it's the teamfight presence I'm having trouble with.

It depends how you build.

You can go tank and obviously tank and so on.

Or you can go assassin, and ult the ADC to start the fight and drop him.

or you mix and do a bit of both.

I have yet to try Hydra on him, but it could absolutely be the solution for the lack of teamfight presence. Synergy with the passive and his W should be really strong as well.

I've found stattik shiv and hydra along with his passive do massive aoe damage
