I am a good team player when it comes to ranked 5v5. I main mid and I almost always hold my lane with a very good kill death ratio. I have lost games over and over in solo queue and I am starting to get frustrated. Any tips?

Try to be more versatile. The team comps in some of your games are completely atrocious, and if you can prevent people from being forced to play roles they're completely awful at, you'll win more games as a result. Kat is a solid champion, but doesn't necessarily work against every team, and you may need to have other mids you can play if your team is light on CC, for example.

Your farm is also low, which may be a sign that you're trying to be in too many places at once to try to salvage losing games. Sacrificing farm to win lanes for other people is a good strategy in a lot of cases, but if you're trying to do it in every game it may be a sign that you're making a strategic mistake and losing time when you could be both getting stronger by farming and pressuring a lane.

I know what you are thinking, will I get troll on my promotion series or not?
But listen, being this ranked ladder for league of legends, would probably make you lose your hopes,
and there are even more trolls out there in Silver V.
So, there is one question you have to ask yourself: "Do I feel lucky?"
Well, do you, punk?

I personally would suggest finding a buddy, someone you can communicate well with and go duo queuing with them. in most cases, you can coordinate ganks better through out the game. if your buddy is a jungler, you and him can easily set up a 3v1 top lane gank or a 4v2 bottom lane gank. as well, since you main mid lane the most, you can pull off some junlge invades with him since you ahve more room to move around.

this sounds mean but sadly it is true, if you play with someone you trust and know is decent, that is one less baddie you will get queued with ^^;;

Well depending on whether or not you spent money or you are willing to invest the time so you can ranked properly, you should create a a new account and start from scratch.

Sometimes, you are better off starting at Silver III than trying to painstakingly climb to it.

Bronze 1 was actually the fastest league for me. I was stuck in Bronze 3 and once I got to B1 I qualified for Silver the next day.
Anyway if there is one thing I learned, winning your lane is not as important as you may think. It comes down to be able to make sure your team is doing the right things after the laning phase.
Also, Be a shot caller, if you notice a 3 man dive against your top laner and hes dead forsure, call your adc and supp and jungle to go with you and take mid tower or dragon. Also learning to team fight is much more important then laning. Learn your role in the team fight. There has been games where I was doing mediocre in lane with lets say Vayne, maybe 2-3, but just because I positioned my self well when a fight broke out, and their adc died almost instantly because he had no idea how to team fight, we won the fight getting 4 kills for 2 despite being behind in laning phase. Anyway yeah, dont think that when you do good in lane and someone else doesn't it is automatically their fault the game is lost.

I completely agree with SuperBad's points. One thing I noticed while smurfing is that lower Elo players tend to not be all that much worse during the laning phase - at least not by a huge margin. Where they're far, far worse is teamfighting, knowing where to be, and what objectives to go for. I consider those far more important skills than just saying you won your lane every time.

I've recently realized that as well. Kills and strength don't count as much as your influence on other lanes. If you're winning, pressure other lanes or try to draw the enemy jungler to you if you can survive their 2v1.

I saw a ridiculously good Lee Sin on the enemy team. Our top complained that he was being camped, but our jungler just had less gank power and presence. I saw Lee Sin go gank mid and bot as well. Lee Sin didn't really pick up that many kills, but forced us to ward and play more defensively because he was just everywhere. Problem was that his team couldn't really lane that well, and he kept trying to split push instead of helping defend towers, and so we won in the end.

Sometimes you can't do anything about it. But try to support struggling teammates as much as possible. Be friendly, be helpful, especially if you're ahead. And stay positive, or at least avoid raging in chat if they're doing poorly.

Many teams just need someone to take charge. Keep everyone together in teamfights and in lategame, and you should do well.

something my sister says a lot is she tries to play mid in ranked games, because she doesn't usually trust her team to play flawlessly and she knows she can roam around from mid
if you're going mid, don't try to win your lane, try to make all 3 lanes win
it's sort of like jungling, because your lane is harder to gank (closer to the tower) and in the middle of the other 2 lanes, you have the ability to farmshove your lane to go help your team
if you won lane at the cost of the other mid laner making the other 2 lanes lose you're probably going to have issues

I agree with Clandestine
I usually play Mid or Jungle because it gives you the potential to win all the lanes. If your playing mid just make sure its a character who can help every lane. Diana, Evenlynn and Akali are all good Roamers, I also enjoy Karthus' presence in other lanes for obvious reasons (R). But imo Karthus has a high learning curve to play effectively because you gota get used to last hitting with his Q and making sure your dont die in lane cause he has no escapes.
