Considering some Energy/5 /18 runes on Akali especially since I hate running out of energy when my Mark of the Assassin + Crescent Slash combo is cast more than 3 times in a row or when you cast 2 twilight shrouds in a team battle.

Thoughts?

I have been using energy seals on shen since they came out and dont regret it a bit you lose 48 health for 10ep regen at level 18, just enough to allow you the sustained use of your abilities though out an entire team battle.

I'd like some more opinions.

Energy Regen per level runes for Seals work well on Akali, I got a full set on her when Energy runes first came out and it does make quite a bit of difference. With the recent buff, they're a bit better, but regardless, they've always made an impact to me.
